Yeah, I plan on getting it.
Need some offline superhero goodness for when my precious DCUO servers are down and the first was brilliant.
I'm looking forwards to the new powers greatly.

OMG OMG OMG OMG
I am so going to be bad, I am a big fan of fire over ice.
If you do good, you get ice powers and if you do bad you get fire powers. So I will be bad. =3
Adored the first game, and I can't wait for the second. I'm considering pre-ordering the Hero Edition, which comes with the soundtrack, a PVC of Cole, a the mini-comic from the first game, and a replica of Cole's backpack.
"The color fades along the intervals I follow."
I don't always buy special editions but I really like inFamous and with the goodies that is coming with, like the OST it is definitely a must for me.
The first game was slightly above average for me. I did enjoy all the neat effects and stuff, but what brought down the experience for me was not being able to deviate from objectives/restrictive exploration, and the enemies were kind of just all over the place.
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
Well, goddamn. XD I am in love with this game:
I've only played the first one for about an hour but it was pretty good. The sequel looks awesome though~
Alright...I'm so generous that I am going to leave this here:

You know the custom level/missions creator I talked about a few posts back?
^^That's the BETA
So good luck to all of you to get in the beta...xD

Infamous 2: Karma System Preview
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/115/1158567p1.html
Relationships aren't usually at a part of the conversation when one walks into a video game preview, but it's one of the first things Sony and Sucker Punch bring up as I sit down to see a new story mission from Infamous 2. In looking at ways to improve on the original, they decided to stick with a binary good/evil system, but instead of leaving it as a meter that you filled with red or blue energy, karma has become two literal relationships. It's a small change but a promising one. Struggling between the two immovable poles of good and evil is part of every great comic book story. Personalizing both ends of the spectrum with two characters who play a continuing part of the story adds new drama where once there was only a stat aggregator.
In Infamous 2, good and evil have been swapped for order and chaos. Representing order is Kuo, a lithe superhero with the ice-based powers. Chaos is Nix, an impetuous lady in red who can use oil-based attacks to start fires. In the early parts of the game, both heroes will travel with Cole as he tries to learn more about how he got his powers and what can be done to defeat The Beast.
At the demo I saw a new mission called "Storm the Fort," about one-third of the way through the story. Cole is set to invade the hideout of a local group of vigilantes. The mission is traditional; you'll be running into a big courtyard to fight dozens of enemies while trying to restore power to the area. In the first half of the mission, Nix fights alongside Cole, and it's possible to combine her oil-based powers with his electricity bolts in combat. One handy move has Nix calling up a blob of crude oil beneath an enemy to trap them in place while Cole blasts them.
Because the original game explained Cole's origin story, the sequel will start you off with most of his powers from the first game. You'll also have access to the powerful vortex attack that was unlocked near the end of the original, though here it'll only be available when special purple clouds are overhead, a measure to help preserve the game balance. Because Cole will start out with more powers, enemies have been made more powerful as well. I saw a lot of toughs with bazookas and a number of lumbering heavies that looked almost like mini-bosses. Cole will also have a new melee weapon, a sort of electrified baton, to give players more of a choice about how to engage in combat.
After clearing out enemies in the fort's first area, Cole came on a caged in power generator. There were two other generators in the map and Cole needed to take power from the first and connect to the second, third, and fourth in order to restore power to the area. No more sewer platforming sections required to turn on the lights. You power the generators by siphoning a big bolt of energy form the first, then flying it through the level like a guided missile until it hits the second. You'll then have to travel to the second generator and clear out the enemies.
Halfway through the level, Nix took the place of Kuo and, once all the bad guys were depleted, the group found a Blast Core. There are a number of Blast Cores throughout the world, and each contains a new super power for Cole to learn. After a short cutscene, Cole was presented with a power choice between Nix or Kuo -- oil or ice. Before you're prompted to choose, each character will make their case, tempting you to be a hero of order or chaos.
The choice will have far-reaching consequences. If you choose order, it won't just mean that civilians fawn over you as you jog around between missions; it will make Nix an antagonist. She'll stay around in the short term but will become increasingly uncooperative. After a certain point she'll be totally irretrievable. I asked Sucker Punch if she winds up becoming an actual enemy in later missions, but they were unresponsive. Whether or not you'll have to fight the one you choose to alienate, you definitely won't have access to story missions the other character would assign you later in the game.
You'll still have a meter that represents your progress towards total chaos or total order. However, choosing either will cost you something, the chance to learn more about either Kuo or Nix and the journeys they'd subsequently take you on. You're ultimately depriving yourself of a partner and a friend, in addition to leveling up a particular skill tree. In the demo I saw, we picked Kuo. Cole was given the Hell Spout power, an impressive ice attack that sends big stalagmites shooting up through the ground.
How these ideas will play out during the course of a whole game is unclear, but Sucker Punch seems to have made some smart and subtle changes. With the recently announced option for players to custom build their own missions, as well as a story mechanic that warrants at least a second play-through, Infamous 2 has a lot to offer players. And for fans of the story and comic series, rest assured William Harms returned to write the script for the sequel.
I be pimping with mah 4 post in a row.

Nobody really gives two craps abotu Infamous that this is my firth post in a row?(well, I avoided the fifth post by deleting the one above and merging.
Game looks so sick, btw. @____ @
I will say IGN just put up Infamous 2 review, and it's good.
However I feel like I'd rather wait for a much more thorough review from another site instead...
Edit: They did post that Infamous 1 data is imported from your trophy data, not the actual game save.
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/117/1170993p1.html
I have a plat trophy for Infamous 1.When you boot up Infamous 2, you'll see an option that says "import Trophy data." By selecting it, the game will read your online Trophies and give you access to the following perks if you meet the criteria.
-Have good or evil Trophies from Infamous: Start Infamous 2 at level 1 good karma or level 1 evil karma.
-Infamous Trophy for 25 percent of the Blast Shards: Free energy core in Infamous 2.
