Geeze, you have to like him, even though he is evil. It's just that permanent smile... he's so... happy all the time. Crazy.

He doesn't look evil at all here (or pretty much everywhere), its cute.

Am I the only one who doesn't like him? I mean, yeah, he doesn't look evil here, and I guess he's kind of cute in an 'he looks innocent' way, but not cute as in 'hot'. But seriously. Why do so many people like him? :\ Does he have some sort of special secret that is revealed in the manga? Is it just because of that grin? Is it the way he talks? :\ I'm just really curious.

Oh, yes, the whole world likes him.. *rolls eyes* Why do people like Hatake Kakashi? they don't even know how he looks like. You probably have a character you like, ask yourself why do you like him? I like his smile and sort of uncaring attitude and of course his evilness, I like bad guys. :p ^^

Its all about the attitude. Gin gas that innocent evil smile that everyone should like, and Kakashi has that mysterious fun attitude. And maybe its the gray hair. Plus they are like older guys with awsome power...duh.

I think he is ugly and that grin reminds me of the damn Grinch.

Well,I know I love his voice,it's very smooth,like sasxnarxgaa pointed out,his uncareing attitude,that GRIN,his eyes,and mannerisims are just to die for,his sauve^.^

Well...at some points he seems only partially evil...like when he was leaving and he said sorry to Matsumoto, and I like his personality, although I prefer his Japanese voice over the English one. The smile is, of course, an amusing aspect, but not the entire reason people are his fan. Lastly, if you ask me, his sarcasm gives a lot of serious parts a more humorous tone. However...this is coming from someone that has always loved antagonists...
