I do something like that, except I interlace my pinky and ring, my middle and index upwards, thumbs up too. It looks almost like the tiger seal. It's still a good mind flowing type thing.

*cough, cough* No, I did not notice this . I don't think I even WANTED to notice. Anyway, I think it's comparable to Lee's typical pose. They both do it for concentrating, though Lee concentrates on his inner power while Shikamaru concentrates on his mind.

Only from time to time . Naruto... :-/ Naruto wants to be cool all the time! Think of how often he was jealous because Sasuke was cooler. But Shikamaru doesn't care for how cool or not he is. That's sweet ^^.
