He should just be thanking his stars that the "task force" didn't take him out. How can you say he should have been made captain? Just because he was upset when he thought they had killed Momo does not excuse the previous conduct.

You make a good point, a really good point, But I didn't mean that he should've been made captain right away, I mean after time. But also he apologized and was forgiven and other than that he was a loyal shinigami and has been so since. And I really don't see the reason to put a filler character who has never been mentioned as a captain. It just doesn't seem right to me. (But opinions are opinoins).
