Well, Kakashi's and Kurenai's attempt in stopping him don't seem that strong to me, either. I think if Gai wouldn't have been there, Hinata would have had a REAL problem.

Actually, I think it was more on the lines of everyone thinking the same thing at the same time without realizing it. But actually, all of their methods are affective... The examiner's finger is placed at a point on Neji's forehead that would stop someone from moving forward due to their center of gravity, Kakashi is stopping his attacking hand, Kurenai his guard/potential attacking hand, and Gai the "Move and I strange you" method...also known as CLOTHES-LINE!

I made up this fan fiction on Neji, and in the fan fiction it took those 4 jonin to stop him cuz they know what dangerous unknown powers he's capable of. Basically he's a jinchuuriki and he doesn't even know it.
