Well, as MysticaMerlin said. It's an animal Gai can summon with a jutsu. What I never understood, though: Where was Gai before he really "appeared" during that scene? You know what I mean? He starts yelling at Lee though he's not there yet, only the turtle. Did he like, be INSIDE the turtle or what?
