I haven't gotten there yet, but in my version, I plan to make so that the dad has a sexual fixation on Itachi and the mother tried to drown Sasuke as a baby and was stopped because Itachi walked in and an uncle was a drug runner while Itachi is a stuck-up gay crossdresser slut and Sasuke is a snotty little shit. It was sort of lucky that Orochimaru killed them all except the boys, 'cause almost all of them were crooked in one way or another... and the boys got knocked down a few pegs.

I think Itachi killed the clan for reasons connecting to Akatsuki... I'm pretty sure Akatsuki is all about making the Sharingan more powerful or something. Someone told Naruto they made Akatsuki because of him, to get the Kyuubi inside of him, and someone said Uchiha Madara was the one that was able to summon the fox and argh... All of this stuff needs to connect more quickly!

In my version it connects a lot quicker. Orochimaru needed to make Sasuke miserable so it would be easier to take over his body and soul, so he mimicked Itachi's form and killed the clan. Orochimaru needed a different body to trick me into marrying him and ascending to the Demon throne. The real Demon King (Nine-tails my grandfather) was sealed in Naruto by Orochimaru before he knew there was an heir to the throne.
