Gaara is a badger. In this pic he looks like a giant kitty, but I still love him. Not as much as Ed-kun though.

Oh god. I better put you all straight before I scream. The Shukaku is NOT a bear, it's NOT a badger, it's NOT a raccoon. It's what's known as a Raccoon-Dog (tanuki). Go look it up on google/wikipedia.
