En is Ren's DAD not uncle he's only his uncle in the english version.He fought his dad in this episode and became the new leader of the Tao's and got the sword of thunder.And En only look's like that because of built up mana/furyoku without that he look's pretty normal.

I would say 4kids as an american company dosnt like the idea of showing kids fighting there parent's,but Hao faught Mikihisa and I dont see how that's diffrent,more pointless editing curtesy (sp?) of 4kid's production's.
