why is Kagome protending to be Kikyo?

She wasnt pretending to be Kikyo. She took a bath, and Kaede gave her some extra clothes to wear until her school uniform dried...as for why kagome put her hair SIMILAR to Kikyo's style....i'm not sure ^^;;
