you should see the anime or if not read tha manga and then you would see why she was dressed like that because she really had no other choice(her clothes were taken away by the guy that wanted to kill her)

In episodes 57 and 58 kagome, Inuyasha, Miroku, and shippo were captured by a human that used the shards to be a demon and the guy took kagome as a sacrafice to a demon tree that will give the guy even more power than the shards the guy took off kagomes clothes while she was asleep and put her a tub to get cleaned and it was on the night of the new moon when inuyasha loses his demonic powers and saves kagome and gives her his kamono and later the sunrises and his demon powers returns and he saves them all
