A Girl in Miko-like Clothes Standing among the Sakura at NightAnother kimono that is just barely fantasy. Several galleries have this picture, but this particluar one is from animegirl112's gallery. There is another version of this picture floating around that shows the lower half of the picture. Just looking at this version, it seems more like a miko picture, since the only fantasized aspect seems to be the star, than a fantasy kimono picture. This is actually a mid-thigh-length kimono!

Lost PassageFrom the "Lost Passage" gallery of Aethereality.net. There are several pictures here of girls dressed like this one, in kimono with hakama (the skirt-like pants worn over the kimono.) This style of girls' clothing was popular in the very late 19th and early 20th centuries. I've seen a few anime pictures showing modern-day girls dressed like this for their high school graduations, but otherwise it seems to have died out. It's such a shame because this style of outfit is so cute !!!!! ^-^
