I can see how part of it fits his past, and how some could cheer him up if he's down. Nice song choice too. Another song that I think that kinda fits him is 'Concrete Angel' by Martina McBride. It's a beautiful country ballad that describes the experiences of a young girl thats going through the torture of child abuse from her mother. Unlike Midori though, she sadly dies. There's a few lines in it that fits him pretty well though.

Yeah, check it out. You can tell that its about a girl, but change the words around a lil and it could be for a boy. It even mentions a teacher in the song, which reminded me of Midori's.
